Channel Letter Sign Repair In Orlando.
Dead Letters Back On.
A channel letter sign with two letters out makes your business look closed. BUSI ESS instead of BUSINESS. People notice, and they don't call to tell you.
LED OUTLET repairs channel letter signs across Orlando and Central Florida. Dead letters, dim letters, flickering, dark sections, burned out LED modules, failed power supplies, and older neon letters converted to LED. Our own bucket truck, supplies in stock at our shop on Kirkman Rd, one trip for most jobs.
Why Channel Letters Fail.
Channel letters are individual metal cans with lights mounted inside. Wiring runs from each can back to a power supply, and one power supply usually feeds several letters. That's why one letter goes dark while the rest stay on, and why three go dark at once.
LED modules burn out.
The sun heats the metal cans all day. At night the modules run for hours inside those same closed cans. Over time a module dims, then dies. You see one dark spot inside a letter, then half the letter, then the whole letter.
Power supplies fail.
The power supply converts line voltage to what the modules need. When it goes, every letter on that supply goes dark together. A sign that worked last night has four letters out tonight. Replacing modules won't fix a dead power supply, so we check both before we replace anything.
Water gets in.
Florida rain finds a cracked face, a split trim cap, a loose seam, or the hole where the wire comes through. Moisture corrodes the connections and kills the modules. A letter that flickers after a storm is water. Fixing the modules without fixing the leak means doing it again next summer.
Neon tubes and transformers wear out.
Older channel letters run on neon. The tube flickers, glows uneven, or quits. The transformer hums and then fails. When more than one neon letter is acting up, converting the set to LED beats chasing tubes.
Wiring and connections loosen.
Heat, moisture, wind, and years of expansion and contraction work the connections loose inside the raceway. One night the letter works, the next it doesn't. That's why we check the wiring and connections, not just the modules.
What We Fix.
- Dead or dim letters
- Flickering or half lit letters
- Burned out LED modules
- Failed LED power supplies
- Neon transformers and tubes
- Neon or fluorescent internals converted to LED
- Cracked faces and damaged trim caps
- Raceway and wiring problems
- Signs that work in daylight and die at night, which is a photocell or timer
Several letters out does not mean a new sign. If the cans and faces are sound, the lighting inside is what gets replaced.
How The Repair Goes.
- 1.Request a quote on this page. Tell us which letters are out and where the building is. We reach out the same day.
- 2.We come look at the sign. We open a letter and check the modules, the wiring, and the power supply. We find what actually failed. No guessing from the office.
- 3.You get a straight answer and a price before any work starts. If it's a power supply, we say so. If it's modules, we say how many. If the sign has more than one problem, you hear all of them.
- 4.Most repairs are done on that visit. Modules and power supplies are on the truck. If a face or a letter has to be made, you get the timeline.
- 5.We check every letter at night before we call it done.
The Parts We Use.
We don't buy whatever's cheapest on the truck that week.
UL Listed, every part.
Every LED module and power supply we install is UL Listed. That's Underwriters Laboratories, the lab that tests electrical parts for fire and shock safety before they can carry the mark. It's what an inspector looks for and what an insurance adjuster asks about after a problem.
Current generation LED.
We run current generation LED modules, not stock from five years ago. Brighter per watt, better heat handling, longer rated life. The sign stays even and white instead of fading to patches.
Pick your white.
Bright white in the highest kelvin range for a sign that reads from across the lot. Warm white for a restaurant or a storefront that wants a softer look. Full color RGB when the sign needs to change color or match a brand.
Power supplies that last.
Power supplies are where cheap signs die. We install commercial grade, outdoor rated power supplies built for Florida heat, matched to the load of the sign, not the cheapest box that fits.
Hand picked stock.
We have to stand behind every part we put in a sign, so we test brands before they go on the shelf. If a module can't hold up through a Florida summer, it doesn't go on your sign.
We only install what we'd put on our own sign. That's the whole standard.
Repair Or Convert To LED.
If your letters already run on LED and one power supply died, replace the power supply. Done.
If the sign still runs on neon or fluorescent, fixing one letter is putting money into a sign that fails again next month. Converting the set to LED costs more today and less every month after.
- LED uses a fraction of the power.
- LED modules last years, not months.
- No transformer hum, no gas tube to crack.
- Even light across the whole letter, no dim spots.
A conversion reuses your existing cans and faces. The sign looks the same from the street. Only what's inside changes. We tell you which one makes sense for your sign.
What Drives The Price.
- How many letters are out.
- Whether it's modules, a power supply, wiring, or all three.
- Whether the sign runs on LED or neon.
- How high the sign is and how it's mounted.
- Whether faces or trim caps need replacing.
- Whether a part has to be made or is on the truck.
One dark letter is not a new sign. We look first, then price it. No charge for the quote.

Questions.
How Much Does Channel Letter Repair Cost?
Depends on how many letters and what failed. Most repairs are a module or a power supply, not a new sign. We look first, then price it.
Can You Fix Just One Letter?
Yes. One letter, one section, or the whole sign.
Why Are Only Half My Letters Lit?
Those letters share a power supply, or a wiring connection failed. We find which on the first visit.
Do I Need A Whole New Sign If Several Letters Are Out?
No. If the cans and faces are sound, the lighting inside is what gets replaced.
Can You Convert Neon Channel Letters To LED?
Yes. Same cans, same faces, same look from the street. Less power, longer life, no transformer hum.
My Sign Works During The Day But Not At Night. What Is Wrong?
Usually the photocell or the timer, not the letters. Quick fix.
Do You Repair Signs You Didn't Install?
Yes. Any brand, any installer, any age.
Can You Reach A Sign High Up On A Plaza?
Yes. That's what the bucket truck is for.
How Fast Can You Come Out?
